Watch the video below. It is from Planet Earth II and shows a baby iguana who has just hatched. The snakes stay in that area looking for an easy meal because they know that baby iguanas hatch here. It is just over 2 minutes of an epic story, without any words really at all. Your job is to tell the story. I want you to tell me the story of this incredible escape from the perspective of the iguana hatchling. That means using first person story telling (so when you are talking about the baby iguana, you use "I" because you are pretending to be the iguana who is telling the story). I won't set a limit on how much or little to write, but a good story here would probably be between half a page and a full page. Include details. What is happening? What is the baby iguana thinking and feeling as these things are happening? I look forward to reading what you come up with.
This Blog will provide updates on what is happening in the classroom, as well as a small peak into the life of the teacher outside of school.
Welcome Students and Parents of Division 7!
I hope that this will be a place where we can better open the lines of communication between myself, the students and the parents/guardians. I also hope to use this space as part of my general encouragement to use various forms of technology to help us learn in different and meaningful ways.
