A fun time was had by all! It was a challenge, but everyone from division 11 rose to it and made it to the top! Excellent work!
What a beautiful day for a track meet! Division 11 students George, Shifak, Taylor, Sam, Julian, Ayman, Katya, Sofija and Ayesha had a fun day competing in a wide variety of fun events against 25 other schools from the Vancouver School Board. Many ribbons of many places were won by our classmates, including a few first place ribbons in 100/200/400 heat races and a first place finish grade 4 girls long jump for Katya. It was also pretty neat watching our students race in the toughest race, the 800m, where Katya finished 2nd for grade 4 girls and Julian/Ayman/Taylor finished 2nd/3rd/8th respectively for grade 4 boys. A VERY good showing by the class! As a teacher and a coach, I couldn't be prouder of the hardwork they all put into this track and field season and the successes that they had at their final meet! Hopefully they all choose to come back and join again next year (and maybe a few other students will join us as well)!

Welcome Students and Parents of Division 7!
I hope that this will be a place where we can better open the lines of communication between myself, the students and the parents/guardians. I also hope to use this space as part of my general encouragement to use various forms of technology to help us learn in different and meaningful ways.
