Today, the Mackenzie student council organized Twin Day as our first spirit day of the year. There were many participants representing all ages, including many representing Division 11! Although my vote for best twins is biased, I'm sure that we can all agree that everyone who participated looked great and hopefully had a lot of fun!

The Mutli-culutral feast was a complete success! Thanks to all of the families for providing different tasty dishes for around the globe for everyone to try and enjoy! Everyone I talked to had a great meal and a fun time!
The whole class did and amazing job with their two performances at today's Remembrance Day assembly. I managed to make a video of the music performance led by Mr. Stephenson, which is posted in the Pictures section of the website. I could not make one of the performance of In Flanders Fields because I was helping to lead the class through the performance. We did decided to make a recording after the fact, so that we could showcase all of our hardwork and practice - which really paid off! You can also view that in the Pictures section.
Have a great (long) weekend! Greetings all!
Lot of pictures will be posted from Halloween last week and our Soapstone carving yesterday. Below are 2 to peak your interest for now. Both were fun in their own ways. I both enjoyed the fun and food of Halloween and the effort and focus of the art session. Two great days. During this time of year, I am coaching a lot of volleyball. As a result of early school exits to drive to students to games, I might forget to update the homework board on this website. The same homework should be written in the agenda, but if you need clarification or information, parents can email me using the contact form on this website. I get those directly to my phone and can usually respond in a timely manner. Have a great weekend! |

Welcome Students and Parents of Division 7!
I hope that this will be a place where we can better open the lines of communication between myself, the students and the parents/guardians. I also hope to use this space as part of my general encouragement to use various forms of technology to help us learn in different and meaningful ways.
