Such a fun week of dance. I thoroughly enjoyed the final product - which was a result of all the hard work and practice that was done over the course of the week. If parents couldn't make it to the performance, there are videos in the Pictures section.

As requested, here is the song for your dance. The dancing in the video is not the same as yours and I think the song is shrunk down a bit for your performance, but this still might help those that want to practice a bit and stay familiar with the beat. Final practice is before recess. Dress Rehearsal is 1:00pm. Performance for parents is 2:00pm. Should be a fun day! Don't forget to wear red! A fun time was had by all at our field trip to Science World this past Friday. The Pixar exhibit was a very fun and hands on way to see how many popular movies are made. The Omnimax film was a breathtaking and detailed look at the lives of humpback whales. The many exhibits and activities on site were fun ways to engage in science as well (my personal favourite was the video game section downstairs). Just an overall great day! I hope everyone had a great time. Photos are up in Pictures section. Although I told you all before, it deserves saying again: you did an excellent job of reciting In Flanders Fields at the assembly on Thursday. I was very proud of the effort that everyone put in to learn and perform the poem in such a small time frame. I've posted a video of our final rehearsal in the Pictures section for anyone who wants to watch/show your parents. I hope today you find some time to pause and reflect on Remembrance Day and what it means to you. Enjoy your day off tomorrow and I will see you all back in class on Tuesday.
Division 7 celebrated Halloween over two days, first carving pumpkins on Tuesday before having a party and wearing costumes on Wednesday. The carving took most of the day, but I was very proud of the effort and final result put in by all of the students. The costumes were amazing, as was the amount of food brought in for our movie party! It was an excellent two days. There are LOTS of photos posted in the Pictures section for you to see and enjoy. Next up for Division 7 will be the Remembrance Day assembly, where we will be reciting In Flanders Fields for the school!

Welcome Students and Parents of Division 7!
I hope that this will be a place where we can better open the lines of communication between myself, the students and the parents/guardians. I also hope to use this space as part of my general encouragement to use various forms of technology to help us learn in different and meaningful ways.
