| Today was a new experience for me. The students of Mackenzie banded together to duct tape myself and Mr. Coo to the gym wall to help raise some money for the Terry Fox Foundation. I was surprised and moderately frightened by the generosity of division 7 as more and more tape was purchased to get me fully stuck to the wall. In total, the school was able to raise $178.10 in just that one hour, with our school total now soaring well above our original goal. Tomorrow, between recess and lunch, the school will be going out for our Terry Fox Run. It looks like the weather will cooperate and I hope we have a great morning. |

So there it is...the inside of my leg. They took that X-Ray today and told me I am all healed - sort of. I don't need to see the surgeon anymore, but the process of getting my leg back to normal is still ongoing. I can start wearing my brace less. I can start to learn to run. I can skate again. I might be able to play sports again by November or December. It's a happy day, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me.
I hope you all had a great Friday without me and can't wait to get back to work on Monday! Have a great weekend! Welcome to all parents and students. Classes officially switched today and I couldn't be happier with the new group of students I received. I am still learning names and learning more about students and look forward to meeting families in the near future. Meet the Teacher night is on September 20 and I hope to talk with some parents then. If you would like to see me sooner just to introduce yourself you can pop by the classroom (222). If you need a longer chat, contact me using the form on this website or the student agenda and we can set up a time.
I look forward to meeting you all in the near future and having a great grade 4 year! |
